Province of Antalya is among of the most ancient settlement areas of Turkey ever known.

Antalya is situated at western part of Mediterranean Region, which is bounded by Taurus Mountain Ranges.

Antalya is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea at the south, Icel province at the east, Isparta and Burdur provinces at the north, and Mugla province at the west.

Antalya is regarded as being under the influence of Mediterranean climate, however, this is not so in the regions away from the sea and at elevated altitudes.

Overall surface area of Antalya Province is about 20,223 km2, representing 2,6% of overall surface area of Turkey. Of overall provincial surface area,
> 415.016 hectare, representing 20,16% is cultivation area,
> 102,465 hectare, representing 4.98% is meadow and pasture,
> 1,135,060 hectare, representing 55.12% is forestry and shrubbery,
> 5,208 hectare, representing 0.025% is water surface
> 401,352 hectare, representing 19.49% is non-cultivated areas and settlement areas.

In addition, Antalya is a city of fairs with its international airport, thousands of accommodation facilities and a professional fair exhibition center AEC where successful fairs in their sectors are organized.
