Starting his musical career at the end of 80’s with post-punk groups, Belle Du Berry an ex-member of the rock group Les Endimanchés founded Paris Combo with Australian-born David Lewis, and the story of Paris Combo begun with the musical journeys of the two musicians. With an eclectic and original repertoire, the group began performing regularly in Paris in 1995, playing in cafés, clubs, and on barges along the Seine. Their first album was released by the famous independent record label Boucherie. Their follow-up release, Living-Room–a gold record in France with a more than 200.000 album sale by 2000 – allowed Paris Combo to expand their popularity to North America, with extensive tours that mixed festival, club, and theater dates. Today, with four  studio albums and a live album to their name, the group has succeeded to become one of the most authentic ensembles in France and taken its fusion of sounds as far afield as Brazil, Australia, East Europe and Far East.
